Aim & Scope
Artvin Coruh University Journal of Forestry Faculty (ACU J For Fac) is a peer-reviewed open access journal which publishes original research articles and reviews on all aspects of forestry, plant science, wood science, landscape architecture and other related subjects. All manuscripts are initially screened on their topic suitability and linguistic quality. Articles should make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge or toward a better understanding of existing concepts.
Papers must be submitted with the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis) and are not currently under consideration by another journal published by or any other publisher. The submitting (corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other coauthors.
The copyright of papers accepted for publication belongs to the journal. All contributions are subject to editorial revision and Editor's decision will be final.

Writing Rules
Artvin Coruh University Journal of Forestry Faculty publishes original research articles, reviews, technical notes and scientific news in all aspects of forestry, wood science, landscape architecture and related fields in two issues per year. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are subject to independent referee evaluation. Submission of manuscript to the Journal implies that it has not been published or is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should be written in 12 pt “Times New Roman” with 1.5 space between lines and not exceed 18 pages including all text, tables and figures. A-4 size paper should be used with 3 cm top and left margins and 2.5 cm bottom and right margins. All pages and lines must be numbered consequently. Manuscipt language should be Turkish or English.
Manuscripts should contain following sections:
Title page: Title of the manuscript (in manuscript language), full names (without titles) and affiliations of all authors should be given. Complete contact information (mailing address, e-mail, and telephone and fax numbers) of the corresponding author should be provided.
Abstract page: This page includes manuscript title, abstract (100-250 words) and key words (maximum six words) in manuscript language. Same information should be given in the other language below. The title of the paper should be short, precise and written without any abbreviations.
Main text: Main text includes (i) introduction, (ii) material and methods,(iii) results (and discussion), (iv) discussion (and conclusion), (v) acknowledgements sections. Headings should be upper case and bold type. Sub-headings sould be lower case and bold. Language should be as clear and as concise as possible. Figures and tables should be numbered consequently and be embedded in the text at appropriate places. Figure titles should be placed below each figure and table titles should be placed on top of each table. Table and figure captions should be self explanatory but concise. Scientific names of subject organisms should be provided where they first appear in the text if their common names are to be employed in the text. International SI unit system should be followed and decimals should be separated with ‘.’ not with ‘,’ (e.g., 45.7 % or 0.221).
References: All references listed at the end of the manuscript should be cited in the text, or vice versa. References should be cited within text with author’s last name and publication year in parenthesis (e.g. (Scotti 2011); if there are two authors (Kraj and Sztorc 2009); if more than two authors (Çengel et al. 2011)). If more than one citations will be given in a parenthesis, they should be ordered according to their publication dates from oldest to newest separated with ‘;’. If used in a sentence only the publication year should be in parenthesis (e.g., ‘According to Steffenrem et al. (2007) wood properties of Picea abies …’).

Submission
All submissions must be made through Journal’s online submission system at http://dergipark.ulakbim.gov.tr/artvinofd/
Publication
Manuscripts are first evaluated by the editor. Manuscripts that are out of Journal’s scope and do not meet scientific criteria with respect to content and presentation are returned to authors without review. Editor assigns at least two referrees for manuscripts with potential to be published in the Journal. Editorial board can accept the manuscript as it stands or with revisions according to referree suggestions, or rejects the manuscript for publication. Revisions must be completed as soon as possible. The proofs are sent to the corresponding author after acceptance and it should be checked for printing mistakes and returned to the editor within 24 hours. A copyright release form, signed by all authors, must be filed with the editor before the proofs are sent.
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Yayın Etiği İlkeleri
- Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi dergisi yayın politikasında akademik ilke ve etik değerlere bağlıdır.
- Etik standartları sağlamak için gönderilen bilimsel yazıların değerlendirilmesinde “Committee on Publication Ethics” tarafından belirlenen standartlar ve YÖK “Bilimsel Araştırma ve Yayın Etiği” Yönergesinde belirlenen esaslar dikkate alınmaktadır.
- Dergiye gönderilen bütün eserlerin derginin etik ilkelerine ve standartlarına uygunluğu değerlendirilir.
- İntihal, sahtecilik, duplikasyon (tekrar yayım), çarpıtma, dilimleme, haksız yazarlık, gibi durumlar, etik dışı davranışlar olarak kabul edilir. Ön kontrollerde yayın etiği standartlarına aykırılığı tespit edilen eserler değerlendirmeye alınmaz. Aykırılığın makale değerlendirme aşamalarının herhangi birinde tespit edilmesi durumunda, süreç durdurulur ve eser yazara iade edilir. Aykırılığın yayımlanan makalede tespit edilmesi halinde, makale yayından kaldırılır.
- Dergiye gönderilen eserin TR Dizin kriterlerinin Etik kurallarla ilgili maddeleri uyarınca "Etik kurul izni gerektiren çalışmalar” kapsamında olması ve gönderiminde “etik kurul belgesinin” sunulmamış olması durumunda eser reddedilir.
- Etik kurul izni gerektiren çalışmalarda, izin belgesine ait bilgiler (kurum, izin tarihi, karar veya sayı numarası) açıkça belirtilmelidir.
- Makalelerin ön değerlendirme sürecinde iThenticate yazılımı yardımıyla benzerlik oranları belirlenir. Dergiye gönderilen eserlerin değerlendirmeye alınabilmesi için benzerlik oranının en fazla %20 olması gerekmektedir.
- Hakem değerlendirmeleri "Çift Kör Hakemlik" kuralına uygun olarak gerçekleştirilir.
- Yayımlanan makalelerde savunulan görüşlerin sorumluluğu yazara aittir.
Yayın Politikası
- Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi Dergisi, yılda iki sayı (Mayıs ve Kasım) olarak yayımlanan açık erişimli hakemli bir dergidir.
- Dergide, orman mühendisliği, peyzaj mimarlığı, orman endüstri mühendisliği, doğa bilimleri ve fen bilimleri çalışma konularında özgün araştırma makaleleri ve derlemeler yayınlanmaktadır.
- Eserin DergiPark üzerinden Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi Dergisine yazar(lar) tarafından yüklenmesi, başvuru sürecini başlatır.
- Yazar(lar) eser gönderiminde telif hakkı formunu imzalı olarak sunmalıdır. Telif hakkı formu sunulmayan eserler değerlendirmeye alınmaz. (Telif hakkı formuna ulaşmak için tıklayınız)
- Dergiye gönderilen bütün çalışmalar değerlendirmeye alınmadan önce ön kontrol sürecinden geçirilir. Ön kontrolde gönderilen eserin amaç, kapsam, yöntem ve yazım biçimi açısından derginin amacına ve standartlarına uygunluğu değerlendirilir. Uygun olmadığı tespit edilen eserler reddedilir.
- Ön kontrol sonucunda uygunluğu tespit edilen eserler için hakem değerlendirme süreci başlatılır. Eserler iki 2 farklı hakeme gönderilir.
- İki olumlu hakem görüşü alan eserin yayımlanması kabul edilir. Hakemlerden birinin olumsuz görüş bildirmesi veya ek değerlendirmeye ihtiyaç duyulması halinde ek hakem değerlendirmesi süreci uygulanır.
- Yazar makalesini geri çekme talebinde bulunabilir. Geri çekme talebi ön kontrol sürecinde gerçekleştirilebilir.
- Yayına kabul edilen eserlerin kaynakça gösterme ve atıf kontrolü sorumluluğu yazarlara aittir.
- Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi Dergisi sunulan eserlerde biçimsel düzeltmeleri yapma hakkına sahiptir.
- Derginin yayın süreçleri, eserlerin tarafsız ve saygın bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi, geliştirilmesi ve yayımlanması amacıyla titizlikle yürütülür.
Price Policy
Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi Dergisi’nde, makalelerin gönderimi, değerlendirilmesi ve yayınlanması ücretsizdir. Yazarlardan herhangi bir süreçte ücret talep edilmez. Makale değerlendirme süreçlerinde hakemlere de ücret ödenmez. Yayınlanan makaleler çevrimiçi olarak erişime açıktır ve erişim için abonelik ücreti istenmemektedir.
